About Us

OIT ClassTech is a part of the Technology Support Services unit here at NC State. We are dedicated to supporting and maintaining audiovisual (AV) technology across campus classrooms to enhance the learning experience for students and faculty. Our team works diligently to ensure that each classroom is equipped with state-of-the-art, user-friendly technology, making teaching and learning more accessible and engaging. Our team’s primary focus is supporting 110 classrooms across NC State’s Main and Centennial campuses, but we also support conference rooms, lab spaces, and hybrid AV solutions by contract.

We pride ourselves on providing fast, reliable support. Our team aims to provide in-person Tier-1 support to classroom service calls within 10 minutes, minimizing disruption from technical difficulties and ensuring that classes can resume with as much ease as possible. With a deep understanding of the systems we manage, our team delivers quick and effective solutions to any issues that arise.

ClassTech is also proud to offer hands-on employment opportunities for student workers. Our students gain valuable experience and technical knowledge while supporting the same classroom technology they utilize daily in their classes. Through this collaborative effort, we not only maintain high-quality service but also contribute to the professional development of our student team members.
